Oopsie

Well. I haven't writen in a while 1) because I had no computer to write on and 2) It's been hectic around my house with all the holiday preperations and things.

Ok so if your going to be looking for clothes for the new year some things to be on the look out for is Tunics, Peace signs and slogans, and plaid. And there may be some bold solid colors going on but we'll see more of those this spring.   All are hot for this winter's wardrobe.

A high or belted tunic will add some dressyness to your wardrobe. Plus they are a quick dress up option for ant pair of pants.

Peace out this year literaly and figuritivly this year. The world needs all the help it can get.

I really liked the way this top looked. Dressy yet it has a casual edge to it. I like clohtes that can go both ways.
              Enjoy your new years shopping!
                              Cheers!

Sorry

Sorry guys. My computer that I usually use is being a little bit screwey.

I was looking at purses recently and I came across this.

It's the Kristen Print tote by Coach. I love the color.  I like bages with prints on them too. What I wouldn't give for an Audery Hepburn bag.....

A hot look for the cold winter

For those readers in the norhtern hemisphere winter is upon us and we still need to look fashionable yet stay warm. An easy way to do this is by adding a hat or mittens or gloves or a scarf ( of course you can use all of those articles of clothing at the same time if you want to. Since where I live it's a milder winter I like to go with hats.  Right now bomber hats are in. True bomber hats have fur on the inside.

Sorry guys this is as big as I could make it.

Now. I personally don't like the look of the true bomber hats probably because of the fur.... I like fur... just not on this hat.

Also in are hats with earflaps... much like the bomber hats but they don't have fur and ost of them have this cute little pompom on the end of the chin tie.

My personal favorite hat is the beanie. Probably because it's simple and will never go out of style. There are so many diffrent types of beanies out there too. Ones with bills, ones with rolled rims, ribbed rims.....

Well I hope all of you readers are keeping warm. Have fun dressing up you winter outfits!
                               Cheers!

Old jeans

Hey readers! I found an inxpensive way to make jeans look vintage. COFFEE!!! Yep. Take some coffee grounds, you really can ask starbucks for their used grounds and most of the time they will give them to you. Youy have to strain them and stuff but yah. Why pay $45 for already vintage jeans when you can have your own costomizable jeans?

Here's the address for the page. I'm totally obsessed with thread bangers now. They have some really awsome ideas.  Righ tnow I'm in the process of turning an old pair of jeans into this really cool purse. :D I'll have to show you some pictures when it's finished.

Forcast

Ok guys. I didn't die. I just made my mother really mad and got sent to bed early and had to go without the computer soooo that makes it kinda hard to blog.

So I'm going to make a perdiction for spring 2010. The 1940's. Yep. Think simple designs and easy on the eye prints. Oh and classic lace. Like the gloves in Vintage Runway's post. I love to 40's style of dress. Sensible and chick. It's a perty classic look.

Now I'm no profesional forcaster but.... This is what I think will be in this spring 2010. Just a thought.

Cheers!

Designer by night...

Hey all my followers! As I said. I design things by night usually because during the night is when I get my insperation. I just wanted all of you to be the first to see my first origional. Doesn't that make you feel special?

Isn't it adorable? I hope you guys liked it. Please let me know if you do.

Thanksgiving

Well. Today is thanksgiving and as you know, style junkies don't take a day off. So I decided that I needed to put together an outfit that would work well for today because I'm going to be with family and eating to my little hearts content but my stomach and waist line's protest. So you need to be comfy for today and casual, if your just going to be with family, no need to be all fancy today, just casual cool.

First off we'll start with a head band. It'll dress down the shirt a bit. It also adds a sporty chick touch to the outfit.

Next we'll have a cut off sleave shirt that ends right at the elbo. Mine is light blue. Underneeth I have a lacey cami because the neck line dips low. I also paired it with the peace necklace. You don't have to have a necklace with it. The outfit will look just fine without a necklace.

For the bottoms I'm going with a dark wash straight leg jean. It'll pull all the peices together nicely. up on the thigh it kinda has some whiskering going on.

Lastly for shoes I'm going to wear my brown Rocket Dog shoes with the cool blue laces. You essentually could wear any shoe you wanted. This outfit would look great played up with boots or a heel.

Me in the finished prouduct

I hope all of you enjoy your thanksgiving for those of you in the States.

 Cheers!

Noteable Style

Man! I just wanted to say that Mrs. Obama has some serious style karma points going for her right now! She looks absolutely stunning in this gown. It was made in India by Manish Chand who lives in the US. Over 40 people worked on ths dress. The light gown on her dark skin. She has taste in clothes. I'm not sure if she is more fashionable than Lady Bird when she was in the White House.
Don't they look cute together too? I can't wait to see what she's going to pull off for thanksgiving tomorrow.
                                                 cheers!

Hello World

Well this is it. I have finally decided to up my ante in the fashion world. So i decided it was time to start a blog. Maybe if I get a video camera for christmas I'll start a youtube site too. Who knows! The possibilities are endless. I guess it's not polite for me to not introduce myself.

My name is Erica. I love anything that has to do with clothes. I like to keep on the look out for the "next" big thing. I think the best part of getting dressed in the morning is looking for the perfect accessory. I love to travel and I'm so excited to be going to one of the fashion capitals of the world. New York! But that's not till march 2010.

I hope that you will bear with me while I learn the ropes of blogging. Enjoy and please post comments I enjoy getting feedback from my viewers.
Thanks!

Ok now for my fashion Post of the day.

My shoes are these really cute yet practical black heel by mudd. They have this super cute decorative buckle on them.

The pants are your basic black dress pants. "slacks" As a side note. I think the word slacks is kinda weird.

The top is a dressier form fitting basic white top. Underneath you have a cami. It can be lacy or plain. It depends on what kind of a jacket your going to wear.

For the accessory. I chose a multi-colored peace necklace just to add some color to your basic back-n-white outfit.
